I have been back from my summer vacation trip to Hawaii almost 2 months now! My sister, brother-in-law, and I went on this trip not only to have fun, but to celebrate my sister’s 30th birthday and my college graduation. We made our way to the island of Oahu at the end of June and I can say without a doubt that it was one of my favorite trips I have ever been on! So, I decided to put together a list of a few things that we did and share it with you whether you are planning a trip to Oahu, or for the future if you ever get the chance to go to the beautiful island.

The past couple weeks, my blogs have centered around the trip I took to Disneyland three weeks ago. The first post listed ways to become even more excited about a trip to “The Happiest Place on Earth” and the second post listed some ways that may help you if you dislike traveling in an airplane. The third and last post for this “Disneyland series” (I guess it would be considered a series) list some items that I took with me on my trip or items that I wish I thought about taking in order to have the best time possible! I. Hate. Flying. I have flown three different times, two being international trips, and have cried every single time. I hate flying. If you read my recent blog, which you can find here, you know that I recently took a trip to Disneyland. I went with my sister and brother-in-law, but they live in California, so I made my way there by myself. I was pretty nervous because every time I have flown, I have been in a group with 20+ people and this was my first time traveling by myself. I was nervous not only for being on the plane by myself, but I never paid attention in airports because I have always just followed what everyone else in my group was doing. I have put together some tips that I am sure are to help make your trip more comfortable whether you are a first time flyer or don’t like flying as much as I do.

This weekend, I will be making my way to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” DISNEYLAND!!!! I haven’t been on a big trip and have had a major urge to travel outside the state for almost a year now and I could not figure out what I wanted to do. At the beginning of the year I posted a blog listing things I wanted to achieve this year. One of the things was to visit my sister, who lives in San Francisco. I also had a nagging idea to return to Disneyland after almost 9 years, so I decided to ask her if she would by chance like to go with me. To my excitement she and my brother-in-law said yes! Now I am already super excited, but in case you need a little help to get your mind centered around everything Disney before your next trip to a Disney park, I put together a list of things that I have been doing to make me fall more in love with the famous mouse and his friends!

It is hard to belive that four years ago I began my first international trip to Ireland. Four years!? Gosh time flies. The beginning of the trip did not go too smooth. I traveled with my high school band and the group I was in was going to be the first to arrive in Ireland. Well…. we ended up being the last. We got stuck over night in Dallas and our group had to split into different routes. I ended up in a group that flew from Dallas all the way to Frankfurt, Germany and then back to Ireland. Did I mention this was the first time I had ever flown? I was a complete mess. Then while I was in Ireland having the best time of my life, I ended up being the sickest I have ever been with what I think was the flu. Even though the trip had its drawbacks, it was still one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

In the summer of 2014, I had the amazing opportunity to travel across the world to Kenya, Africa for two and a half weeks. I never imagined what I would see, experience, and learn during those long two weeks and began learning and being tested from the moment we got on the bus to travel to Dallas and continued even months after I returned.
